Photo and video highlights from Merivi and Jonathan's incredible wedding day at Lacewood at Tuhitarata Estate in the South Wairarapa, captured by Janelle and Ricky from Kee-Sue Creative, a husband-and-wife team for wedding photography and videography.
Lacewood Estate is a stunning wedding venue in the South Wairarapa that offers beautiful gardens, a rustic reception space, and a beautiful manor house for accommodation and getting ready in.
You don't need to go off-site during your wedding day, which means you have more time to spend with your guests.

Getting ready at Lacewood Estate's accommodation
WOW, the accommodation at Lacewood is simply stunning! A photographer's dream, there is plenty of space, lots of natural light, and beautiful details and furnishings.
Merivi and Jonathan both got ready and stayed at Lacewood with their bridesmaids and groomsmen, which had plenty of space for them all (they had 5+ each!).
Starting at about 11.30am, we captured photos of the bride and groom getting ready with their bridal party in separate spaces, which have beautiful natural light and plenty of space (perfect for hair, makeup and photography).
Lawn wedding ceremony at Lacewood
It was a rainy day but Merivi and Jonathan committed to an outdoor wedding - luckily there is plenty of tree cover to shade guests from rain or shine. There are a few different options for your ceremony setup, all of which are beautiful and lush.
We took the group photos underneath the tree cover, which made for a beautiful backdrop.
The reception and wedding party photos
Since it was raining we took the wedding party photos first (about 20 minutes), using umbrellas and the ample tree cover at the back of the manor house. In the photos can you tell it was pouring with rain? Not many can!
We kept the photos short and sweet so the couple and their wedding party could get the party started at the reception, which is large, rustic and has a great flow with long tables.
Later on after many of the formalities, we snuck out with the couple for their portraits for 20 minutes or so when the rain had died down, and managed to capture some beautiful moments between them, before they returned to celebrate with their guests.
